As they say in show biz, the show must go on. Yesterday (April 14), during Ariana Grande‘s headlining Coachella set, surprise guest performer Nicki Minaj encountered unfortunate sound issues.
“We can’t hear anything,” the “7 Rings” songstress admits while on stage with Nicki.
The Queen rapper and Ari hit the stage to perform their collaborative hits “Side to Side” and “Bang Bang.” As videos surfaced the internet, it is clear that Nicki was unable to hear from both of her earpieces. Trying her best to help her friend, Ari filled in the adlibs to Nicki’s verses as best she could. Ultimately, at the end of Nicki’s verse, Ari let the cat out of the bag that there are indeed sound issues.
Unfortunately, Nicki wasn’t the only surprise performer during Ari’s set to face sound issues. During Diddy and Ma$e’s performance of “Mo Money Mo Problems,” the duo encountered the same challenge. Thankfully, the issue was corrected and NSYNC graced the stage without any hiccups.
Despite having technical issues, Ari put her best foot forward for the rest of the night. She performed her solo hits including “God Is A Woman,” “Into You,” “Dangerous Woman,” “No Tears Left to Cry,” “Thank U, Next,” and the list goes on.
Keeping up that same performance energy, Ariana is currently on her Sweetener World Tour. The seven-month tour will visit cities such as Van Couver, Atlanta, New York City, and much more. As for Nicki, last month she wrapped up The Nicki Wrld Tour alongside Juice Wrld.
